CONNECTED TIRES SOLUTIONS
Over the past 5 years, our technical teams have developed innovative connected solutions, always aiming at being easily implementable and adapted to each customer use case.
We are convinced that connecting the tire to the vehicle and its environment, being a car driver, a car dealer, or a fleet manager, will help our customers to extract more value from the vehicle and the tires.
To achieve that goal, we have built our Connected Tire technical team in the heart of our historical tire research center. This organization allows us to leverage our unique know how in Tire physics linked to the vehicle behavior and usage knowledge in our connected products and algorithms. This technical team is working closely with our business teams and our customers and partners in an agile mode. This methodology and way to innovate provide to our customers a very high level of agility to develop new differentiative features for the mobility market of tomorrow.

How does it work?
The MICHELIN Connected Tire System is the combination of a uniquely designed OEM tire and MICHELIN sensor designed by Michelin. It is specially developed to fit with the vehicle and will provide to the driver the best experience designed by the car maker.
This connectivity opens a range of possibilities for the car makers to enhance driving experience by taking full advantage of tire’s performance potential.
Knowing the identity of the tire can allows to make vehicle chassis adjustments to fully utilize the potential of the tires. It can also allow Premium electric vehicles to better estimate their level of autonomy by calculating the rolling resistance of the tires identified by the vehicle using the sensor integrated in the tire.
By monitoring precisely, the tire pressure, in the vehicle or directly on a smartphone or a computer, fleets or drivers can check that their vehicles are not over or under inflated to improve tire durability. For high end cars, monitoring the pressure and temperature of the tires will help to improve your performances on tracks.
